Yoshi's TV Game Icons for the Fediverse

What?

I was looking for a emoji pack for my Akkoma instance recently, with some nice retro game system icons and what not, but I couldn't really find any despite seeing quite a few Fediverse instances using similar packs. So I decided to make my own pack with images I grabbed off of the Internet and share it for other potentially interested Fediverse admins. That's what I ended up with:

Of course I did not draw these icons myself. I used the fantastic Yoshi's TV Game Icons set and rather arbitrarily picked 160 out of 617 icons included in 2.97 version of it. My "Lite" version includes the following:

• 98 consoles
• 37 controllers
• 16 cards, carts, discs, and other media
• 9 misc. icons including logos

Included systems are: Atari 2600, Amiga CD32, Dreamcast, DS (including DSi and DSLite), GameGear, GameBoy (incl. Pocket, Light, Color, SP, Advance and Micro), GameCube, Jaguar (incl. CD), Lynx, MasterSystem, MegaDrive (I and II), Saturn, N64, NeoGeo Pocket, NeoGeo (incl. CD), NES/(New) Famicom, SNES/Super Famicom, Turbografx-16/PCE, PS, PS2, PS3, PSP (incl. Go), VirtualBoy, Wii, Xbox, Xbox 360.

Note that file names in this pack are not identical to their original counterparts. I changed some of them to be more easily searchable in the emoji picker and when composing a post, and to also clean up some inconsistencies. Some of included systems also can be hardly called "retro", though I still included them for future proofing (and because I couldn't resist including 5 different colours of PS3 Move).

How?

Either download the emoji pack archive and extract it to your instance's emoji folder (in case of Akkoma it's $STATIC-DIR/emoji/) or download them off my instance (catgirls.party) using Admin-FE's remote emoji packs function (Admin-FE -> Settings -> Emoji -> Remote packs).
